Our Focus
My Myanmar International School has been officially accredited as the first Oxford International Curriculum School in Myanmar. We offer a world-class curriculum supported by high-quality enrichment programs. Our standards permeate our use of technology, pedagogy, and formative assessment systems. We provide education at the Primary level with a strong emphasis on 21st-century skills in a 21st-century classroom.
Our students will develop fundamental literacies: language literacy, numeracy, scientific literacy, ICT literacy, financial literacy, cultural literacy, and civic literacy. By following the international curriculum, our students will develop competency in critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration, agility, adaptability, initiative, entrepreneurship, effective oral communication skills, and the ability to access and analyze information.
Our students will engage through exercises, activities, and reflection. Academic progress can be assessed through examinations and assessments, but it must also be appreciated through careful consideration and evaluation.

Our students will acquire the skills and knowledge required for their courses and further develop a deeper understanding of their education through reflection. Reflection plays a central role in our students’ development of skills, competencies, and literacies.

Our Teachers
Our teachers demonstrate initiative and innovation in their approaches and practices. We take pride in our support for continuous professional development. Our educators hold both local and international accreditations.
The international accreditation is from the Cambridge Professional Development Programs, and we aspire to establish a teacher-trainer college in Yangon to promote 21st-century skills and techniques. Our teachers undergo 180 hours of compulsory training in various areas to meet the professional standards of My Myanmar International School.
21st Century Classroom
My Myanmar International School appreciates the skills required to live and prosper in the 21st Century. Our educational philosophy is to empower students to manage their own education and future lives. We take a holistic approach to learning in which students develop skills that they will need for the rest of their lives, such as their intellectual, emotional, social, physical, leadership, and spiritual sides.
Following the innovative ‘Student-Initiated Learning Approach,’ our teachers create classroom environments that support the curiosity and intellectual stimulation of our students. Students engage in active learning, and they are aware of their outcomes well before the start of each lesson. Students spend 90% to 100% of their time in the classroom. In order for students to make the most of their time and to take ownership of their education, we ensure that they are aware of their objectives as we guide them through their lessons to achieve them.
